About us

Bear Force

Bear Force encourages children to express their feelings from a young age helping to build the foundations for positive mental health as they get older.

Emotional problems in older children and young adults, can often stem from childhood experiences with reactions presenting themselves many years later. Our work looks to support children as young as 3 years and provides them with tools to help them right through their formative years.

How you can help

Donate

Donating to the charity Bear Force can have a profound impact on the well-being of young children. Here are a few reasons why supporting this cause is important.

Sponsorship/Branding Opportunities

Your sponsorship can make a genuine difference to children’s lives, from sponsoring Bear Buddies packs and Buddy Benches for schools, to a local teddy bear’s picnic, there is no end to the different ways you can work with us.

Involve your school - Bear Buddies

All children love certificates and badges, and our free Bear Force Buddies certificates can be earned by simply learning about the importance of talking when they feel sad or are worried. Children are also encouraged to look out for other children who they think might be feeling sad too.

Donate a course to child caregivers

Our unique course, create by child psychotherapists, helps provide practical skills for parents, caregivers, teachers, and people working with children, on how to support children’s everyday mental health.

It is not intended to be an academic qualification, it is genuine training from professionals about real strategies that can be used with children from as young as 3 years, right through to adolescents.

Courses can also be purchased and donated to an organisation or person of your choice.

Our courses are provided online and cost £49.95 per person. A certificate is provided on successful completion.

Bear Force is currently providing courses to mothers along with their children, who have fled domestic abuse, including emotional, violent, and sexual abuse through its charity partner, KidsOut, plus children’s hospital nursing staff, and primary school teachers.

Hold a Teddy Bears Picnic

People young and old love teddy bears, and what a perfect excuse for combining a fun picnic with raising funds for an incredible charity. And remember, everyone has to bring their teddy bear!

Teddy Bears Picnics can be held in schools too. Why not read the book as part of the picnic and award pupils with their own Bear Buddies Certificates.

Learn skills to support children’s mental health

The charity’s course provides strategies for parents, caregivers, and adults working with children, to help them support children’s everyday mental health. Skills learned can be used with children from as young as 3 years, right through to adolescents.

Income from purchases also enables Bear Force to provide free courses to good causes. This includes caregivers whose children have been affected by trauma, and mothers with children in Women’s Aid refuges whose children have witnessed or experienced emotional, violent, and sexual abuse.*

It can also be used to provide an opportunity for children to create their own ideas for AB’s adventures or explore the bear’s possible emotions as well as their own, using separate text within its pages.
